Coin collecting can be enjoyable and educational for every member of the family. As an introduction to COIN COLLECTING, the Florida United Numismatists (FUN) provides a Saturday morning program designed to teach boys and girls, and young adults how to start collecting coins. The FUN Young Numismatists (YN) Program is second to none. Our program is centered around teaching YN's that collecting coins can be a fun hobby and an exciting career.
Our instructors enjoy sharing their knowledge, creating a program that has much to offer. Each YN program has a theme that is interesting to boys and girls of all ages. At previous shows we have conducted classes covering the facts about State Quarters, dimes, nickels and gold and silver. In conjuction with the help of the U.S. Mint, we have a class on every day coins called, "History In Your Pocket"
The Saturday Afternoon program will start at 1:00 p.m., includes games, contests, and trivia challenges. Each participant is given a welcome bag that includes coin folders, books, and many coins, tokens and medals.
Our next Kids Collecting Coins program will occur at the 20th Summer FUN Convention July 11, 2026 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Orange County Convention Center.
